ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Commandant’s office staff and Corp of Cadets
POSITION SUMMARY: The Commandant will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Commandants Office and has broad authority and responsibility regarding cadet life. Under the supervision of the Commandant, a cadet Battalion Commander, supported by a Cadet Chain of Command, operating within an US Army structure, commands the Corps of Cadets. All Commandant Office processes are to be managed in a cost effective, well organized, professional, accurate, timely and friendly manner.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Commandant is the primary advisor to the Superintendent and President relative to cadet morale, discipline and esprit-de-corps.
- The Commandant exercises command supervision and mentorship over the Corps of Cadets and the Commandant’s Staff; responsible for campus safety and security; the well-being, accountability, mentorship and conduct/discipline male and female cadets
- Oversees billeting, cadet activities to include drill and ceremonies, military training/customs and courtesies/core values within the Corps of Cadets
- Oversees all aspects of daily cadet life
- The Commandant is responsible for the organization, training, supervision and conduct of TAC officers.
- The Commandant will ensure that personnel assets are employed with prudence and good judgment ensuring that adequate cadet supervision is available at all times.
- The Commandant has operational control over the Infirmary, Cadet residence life and billeting, Recreation/Cadet Activities, Dining Facility, Barber Shop and Laundry Services.
- The Commandant is responsible for maintaining a positive leadership environment in which each cadet can achieve academic excellence and physical readiness while living the Cadet Honor Code.
- Serve on Academy committees and as cadet advisor in clubs/activities
- Other duties as assigned
BUDGET AUTHORITY: Oversee and manage all departmental budget that fall under area of oversight listed above.
EVALUATION: Evaluation will be on an ongoing basis in periodic staff meetings and in private conversations. A more formal written evaluation will be completed once each year. Performance will be based on degree and quality of completing the job description plus any additional goals agreed upon at the beginning of the evaluation year. Compensation adjustments will be based on quality and quantity of work performed and overall value that the individual brings to the company.

SUMMARY: Responsible to the President for leading the offices of Recruiting/Admissions and Financial Aid to achieve recruitment and enrollment goals that strengthen the academic and military profile of Marion Military Institute.

Ensure that the Admissions and Financial Aid Offices correctly interpret and comply with federal, state, and institutional policies and regulations.
Plan, publish, and schedule timely distribution of appropriate marketing materials, including mass media.
Oversee the planning and scheduling of all marketing and recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, and open houses.
Travel on behalf of the college for recruitment, as required.
Attend college meetings and participate in campus committees, as required.

POSITION SUMMARY: Wentworth Military Academy & College is seeking to fill two available Female TAC Officer Positions. The TAC Officer is in charge of providing stability in the cadet’s experience while at Wentworth. TAC’s are staff in a position that further develops the cadet’s personal, social, emotional and academic growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage cadet floors and other living areas to maintain safe, healthy and supportive environment for cadets to live and learn
Live on cadet floor in Barracks to serve as a mentor by complying to guidelines given
Interpret, promote and enforce policies and behavioral guidelines established in the Blue Book while encouraging cadet responsibility and values of the Honor Code
Develop and implement educational, cultural, social and recreational activities to promote growth and involvement in the community
Mediate in emotional or physical crises
Monitor and document cadet progress
Communicate effectively and frequently with parents/guardians
Work in the TAC office as well as cadet development which may include driver duty
Serve on Academy committees and as cadet advisor in clubs/activities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification/License: Maintain a valid driver’s license
Experience: Previous residential life experience and/or previous experience working with adolescents
